Introducing Drew

Hi, I’m Drew Logie and no I am neither related to the TV awards or Gold :) .  I have been in the IT industry for a long time and have a self-taught, solid and pragmatic approach to customers’ needs, requirements and expectations.

I begun selling IT hardware a very long time ago, moved into the building & configuration of bespoke desktops and servers and then into IT hardware engineering – I have come up through the ranks so to speak.

After approximately ten years I moved to a new IT company to develop/enhance my engineering knowledge – I witnessed first-hand back then how projects were being delivered and became a technical resource and helped to deliver projects.  The day became more interesting as it was away-from-the-norm and I soon became interested in the organisational process and governance of project delivery.

I believe most Project Managers become PM’s by accident, but I displayed an interest in wanting to move into project management.  With the backing of an understanding manger I was given the opportunity to manage a small internal project.  I was hooked and never looked back!

All these years on, I’m still managing IT projects and thoroughly enjoy it!  I always get a kick out of bringing all the pieces of the jigsaw together, taking customers’ ideas through to reality and implementing these ideas.  Every project is taken personally and I stand by the concept of ‘Think of yourself as a customer’

Managing the delivery of this high profile and special project of deploying Windows 7 internally to Data#3 is an honour.  To deploy a new SOE into a Production environment prior to its official launch has to be exciting, yes?

Thanks & Regards
