Because it is still a pilot I backed up my data just incase … but in the end did not have to worry – within 2 hours I had my laptop imaged and all my user settings restored. Only change I had to make was to my date format setting so my IPFX client would work correctly in outlook. Two of the guys in my team who provide end-user support will load Win7 on their laptops this morning so we can do some more thorough testing of the tier 1 & 2 app’s used in the business.

Hi all,

Here’s a brief history about me so hopefully you get some idea of who I am … I’ll try not to ramble.

I have always been interested in computers but was a slow starter spending the first 4 years after Year 12 working in the hospitality industry at various bars & resorts up and down the east coast of Australia … which was great fun but the hours were terrible and the pay worse!

I started at Data#3 9 years ago in helpdesk support. Over the years, I have held various roles and along the way have completed a Diploma in IT, various Microsoft cert’s in Windows XP, Windows 2000 & 2003 Server and (fingers crossed) will have my Bachelor of Information Systems completed in the next 2 years. My current role in Data#3 is Service Delivery Manager in the Systems & Processes business unit primarily focused on infrastructure projects and maintaining and supporting Data#3’s internal systems.
